Pakistan Ambassador Meets Shibly Behind Moscow Concert Vlog
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia Faisal Niaz Tirmizi recently invited Bangladeshi student and content creator Anisur Rahman (Sibly) to Pakistan House in Moscow after watching his candid vlog on Pakistani band Khumariyaan’s performance.
Sibly, who is studying for Master’s degree in Design (Art Direction) at HSE University, has been living in Russia for nearly two years.
His vlog documenting Khumariyaan’s Moscow performance drew the Ambassador’s attention for its portrayal of the event beyond the stage and musical performance.
Rather than focusing solely on the band, Sibly’s camera captured the atmosphere surrounding the concert, including audience reactions, conversations, laughter and spontaneous moments among those attending the event. The approach offered an authentic and personal perspective of the evening.
Ambassador Tirmizi appreciated Sibly’s creative work and expressed interest in his experience of filming a Pakistani band performing in Moscow. Their conversation also highlighted how young content creators can contribute to cultural understanding by documenting people-to-people interactions and artistic exchanges.
The meeting reflects the growing role of youth, digital storytelling and cultural engagement in strengthening connections between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
