15 Bangladeshi students leave for Pakistan under Iqbal scholarship programme
Fifteen Bangladeshi students departed for Pakistan on Friday under the second phase of the Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships Programme, according to the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka.
The third batch of students left Dhaka from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to pursue their studies in Pakistan, the High Commission said in a post on its official Facebook page on Friday noon.
Pakistan High Commissioner Imran Haider was present at the airport to see off the students and wished them success in their academic pursuits and future endeavours.
The latest departure is part of the second phase of the scholarship programme, through which Bangladeshi students are being provided opportunities to pursue higher education in Pakistan.
The scholarship initiative is named after Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the renowned South Asian philosopher and poet.
