Nepal Opens Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund for Flood Victims

Dhaka, August 28, 2026: The Government of Nepal has invited Nepalis living abroad, foreign nationals and international organizations to contribute to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund established to support victims of the country’s devastating floods.

The relief fund is aimed at supporting emergency assistance, recovery and rehabilitation efforts for communities affected by the floods and related disasters across Nepal.

According to information released by the Nepalese authorities, individuals and organizations willing to provide financial assistance can directly transfer donations to the government’s designated account through an online payment portal.

The initiative provides an official channel for the Nepali diaspora and international well-wishers to extend financial support to people affected by the disaster.

The Government of Nepal has encouraged those willing to contribute to use the designated portal to ensure that their donations reach the official disaster relief mechanism.

The online donation facility is available through the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund portal, operated through Nepal’s designated payment infrastructure.

The development comes as Nepal continues relief and rehabilitation efforts following severe flooding and related landslides that have affected communities and infrastructure in several parts of the country.

The government has been coordinating emergency response and recovery measures while seeking support for affected populations.

Donations can be made through the official portal:
