Zardari Greets Erdoğan, Turkish People on Victory Day

ISLAMABAD, August 30, 2026: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has extended warm greetings to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the people of Türkiye on the occasion of the country’s Victory Day.

In his message, President Zardari described Pakistan-Türkiye relations as a unique and enduring partnership, rooted in deep bonds of history, faith and mutual support.

Recalling Türkiye’s Great Victory of August 30, 1922, the Pakistani president said the historic event remains an important chapter in the country’s history.

President Zardari expressed confidence that the close and longstanding ties between Pakistan and Türkiye would continue to expand and strengthen in the days ahead.

He also conveyed his wishes for continued peace, prosperity and success for President Erdoğan and the people of Türkiye.

The message underscored the longstanding bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye, which have traditionally been marked by strong political, cultural and people-to-people ties.
