Chinese Embassy Marks CPC's 105th Anniversary with Symposium in Dhaka

Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen said that the Communist Party of China (CPC) is committed to expanding exchanges and cooperation with Bangladesh's political parties, describing the newly signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the CPC and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) as a significant step towards strengthening bilateral ties.

Referring to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's recent visit to China, he also said that the agreement would inject fresh momentum into bilateral engagement and reaffirmed the CPC's willingness to work with all friendly political parties in Bangladesh to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries.

Chinese envoy Yao Wen said this remark while he delivered the keynote address in a symposium in Dhaka to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), bringing together senior political leaders, policymakers, academics and representatives from major political parties.

Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh organised the symposium was held at a city convention hall on Monday.

Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen delivered the keynote address, highlighting the CPC's achievements and outlining the party's vision for strengthening bilateral relations between China and Bangladesh.

In his speech, Ambassador Yao elaborated on the key messages of Chinese President and CPC General Secretary Xi Jinping's address marking the party's 105th anniversary.

The ambassador also expressed China's interest in expanding cooperation on governance, development and practical collaboration across a wide range of sectors for the mutual benefit of the people of both countries.

Among those attending the event were Md Ismail Zabihullah, Adviser to the Prime Minister; Altaf Hossain Choudhury, MP and Vice Chairman of the National Executive Committee; Prof Mujib Rahman, MP, Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Parliament and Central Nayeb-e-Ameer; Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, spokesperson of the National Citizen Party (NCP); alongside representatives from other major political parties, think tanks and academic institutions.

Speakers at the symposium congratulated the CPC on its 105th anniversary and voiced optimism that Bangladesh and China would continue to deepen cooperation and advance their strategic partnership, with a shared vision of building a China-Bangladesh community with a shared future in the new era.
