B2B networking gains momentum as international beauty exhibition continues

Dhaka, September 4, 2026: The second day of Cosmetica Dhaka 2026, an international exhibition showcasing cosmetics, skincare and personal care products, drew a strong turnout of visitors and business representatives on Friday, following a positive response on its opening day.

Visitors began arriving before the exhibition opened, with a steady flow continuing throughout the morning. The three-day event is being held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka.

Foreign Affairs State Minister Shama Obaed Islam inaugurated the exhibition on Thursday. At the inauguration, she called for Bangladesh’s cosmetics and personal care industry to move beyond import dependence by expanding local production, exports and opportunities for domestic and foreign investment.

The opening day saw a steady stream of visitors exploring products from local and international brands. The exhibition is also providing opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs to engage in business-to-business (B2B) networking, alongside product showcases, live demonstrations, beauty consultations and skincare activities.

Similar programmes are being held on the second day, with exhibitors showcasing cosmetics, skincare, haircare, fragrances, grooming products, personal care items and related technologies and services.

This year’s exhibition features companies from 16 countries, including Bangladesh, South Korea, Thailand, India, the United States, France, Singapore, China and Japan. More than 100 stalls have been set up at the venue.

S M Faisal Munim, CEO of SquadMind Global Limited, the organiser of the exhibition, said the event aims to create meaningful connections among entrepreneurs, brands and businesses in the cosmetics and personal care sector.

“We are pleased to organise Cosmetica Dhaka for the second time. We received a positive response from local and international exhibitors, visitors and businesses on the first day,” he said.

“Bangladesh’s cosmetics, skincare and personal care sector has significant potential. This potential can be harnessed through new investment, technology and international partnerships. Cosmetica Dhaka aims to create opportunities in these areas,” Munim added.

A panel discussion titled ‘Industry Talk: The Future of Beauty in Bangladesh’ is scheduled for Friday. Munim will moderate the session, which will bring together local and international representatives from the industry.

Actresses Sabila Nur and Shabnam Faria, along with other public figures, are expected to visit the exhibition on the second day. Model and actress Athoi attended the opening day.

The organisers said the exhibition is expected to help attract investment, facilitate technology transfer and promote international partnerships in Bangladesh’s cosmetics and personal care industry.

Cosmetica Dhaka 2026 will remain open to visitors until September 5, from 10:00am to 7:00pm each day.
