FH Holds Donor and Partnership Meeting in Dhaka

DHAKA, August 24, 2026: Food for the Hungry (FH) Association, an international development organization, has organized a donor and partnership meeting in Dhaka to strengthen mutual trust and lay the groundwork for long-term collaboration on development initiatives.

The meeting, held at Agargaon in the capital, brought together representatives of donor agencies, development partners, government officials and policymakers to discuss ways to promote sustainable and people-centered development in Bangladesh.

FH Association has been working in Bangladesh to strengthen the capacity of local communities, reduce poverty and promote sustainable development, according to a press release issued by the organization on Monday.

Director General of the NGO Affairs Bureau Dr. Mohammad Zakaria attended the meeting as the chief guest, while Joint Secretary of the NGO Affairs Bureau Dr. K. M. Mamunuzzaman was present as the special guest. FH Asia Regional Director Romel Fuerte and Country Director Bully Hagidok also attended.

Representatives of various donor and development organizations, senior officials of the NGO Affairs Bureau, FH Association leadership and officials, and representatives of partner organizations participated in the forum.

During the meeting, participants exchanged views and recommendations on Bangladesh's evolving development landscape, ongoing initiatives, emerging partnership opportunities and strategies for creating effective and sustainable change at the local level.

They also discussed the effective use of development resources and prospects for future collaboration, emphasizing stronger coordination among stakeholders to maximize the impact of development initiatives.

A senior FH official said, “Mutual trust, transparency, accountability and long-term partnerships are the key to ensuring sustainable, inclusive and people-centered development in Bangladesh.”

FH Association also presented an overview of its ongoing programs, achievements, field-level experiences and future priorities. The presentation highlighted the importance of effective coordination among local partners, donor agencies, government and private-sector organizations, and other stakeholders.

Representatives of donor agencies and development partners provided feedback and recommendations on FH Association's activities and expressed interest in continuing cooperation in the future.

According to the press release, FH Association believes such partnership platforms can strengthen mutual understanding among development stakeholders, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience, and create new opportunities for collaboration aimed at advancing sustainable development in Bangladesh.
