Ambassador Yao Wen Meets NCP International Relations Sub-Committee
DHAKA, August 20, 2026: Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen met on Thursday with members of the newly established Sub-Committee for International Relations of the National Citizen Party (NCP), with discussions focusing on China-Bangladesh relations, inter-party exchanges and youth cooperation.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and explored opportunities to further strengthen friendly exchanges and cooperation between Bangladesh and China.
Ambassador Yao Wen congratulated the NCP on the establishment of its Sub-Committee for International Relations and said China stands ready to strengthen cooperation with all political parties in Bangladesh, including the NCP.
He expressed hope that the NCP’s International Relations Sub-Committee would play a constructive role in promoting friendly exchanges between the two countries and between their political parties.
The Chinese ambassador also highlighted the importance of people-to-people and youth exchanges in further deepening mutual understanding and friendship between Bangladesh and China.
NCP spokesperson and Chairman of the Sub-Committee for International Relations, Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan, said the party is ready to work with China to deepen friendly exchanges and cooperation between the political parties and younger generations of the two countries.
He said the NCP would make positive contributions to strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Bangladesh and China.
