DHAKA: Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider has thanked senior officials of Bangladesh’s Ministry of Cultural Affairs and members of a Bangladeshi cultural delegation that recently visited Pakistan, underscoring the role of cultural exchanges in strengthening bilateral relations.
He conveyed his appreciation at a programme held recently at his official residence, Pakistan House, according to a press release issued by the Pakistan High Commission on Thursday.
Haider said the visit provided a platform for Bangladeshi artists to showcase their work to Pakistani audiences and promote mutual understanding through artistic engagement.
Such exchanges can strengthen people-to-people connections and create opportunities for greater cooperation in the cultural sector between the two countries, he added.
The 15-member delegation visited Pakistan from October 16 to 19 under the bilateral cultural exchange programme. During the visit, the artists staged performances in Islamabad showcasing Bangladesh’s artistic heritage.
Their performances received widespread appreciation from audiences, reflecting interest in the richness and diversity of Bangladeshi art and culture.
