Attorney General Barrister Md. Ruhul Quddus Kazal today paid a courtesy call on President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at Bangabhaban.
During the meeting, the Attorney General conveyed his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on assuming the office of President, President's Press Secretary Md. Sarwar Alam told BSS.
The Attorney General apprised the President of the overall activities of the Attorney General's Office, including various initiatives and measures undertaken to protect the interests of the state and uphold legal rights.
The President urged the Attorney General to continue discharging his responsibilities with sincerity, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility to uphold the supremacy and dignity of the Constitution, maintain the rule of law and advance the country's democratic journey.
They also exchanged views on protecting the legal interests of the state, ensuring justice, safeguarding the rights of the people and strengthening the effective role of constitutional institutions.
The President assured the Attorney General of his all-out cooperation in discharging his responsibilities.
