China, UNDP Discuss Livelihood Projects and Investment Climate in Bangladesh

China and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have discussed expanding cooperation on livelihood projects in Bangladesh and improving the country's investment environment through development partnerships.

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen met Stephen Rodriques, Resident Representative of UNDP in Bangladesh, on August 5 to review ongoing cooperation and explore future collaborative initiatives.

According to the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka, both sides highly commended the achievements of livelihood projects implemented in Bangladesh under the framework of the Global Development and South-South Cooperation Fund.

During the meeting, Ambassador Yao and Rodriques held in-depth discussions on advancing ongoing cooperation projects and identifying new areas of collaboration to support Bangladesh's socio-economic development.

The two sides also exchanged views on helping Bangladesh continuously improve its investment environment, with the aim of fostering sustainable economic growth and attracting greater investment.

The meeting reflects the continued engagement between China and UNDP in supporting Bangladesh's development priorities through international development cooperation and South-South partnerships.
