Bangladesh, Australia seek sustained support for Rohingya crisis.

Bangladesh and Australia today underscored the need for continued international support for the forcibly displaced Rohingyas
as the prolonged humanitarian crisis continues to pose challenges for Bangladesh and the wider region.

The issue was discussed during a meeting between Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong on the sidelines of the
ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) in Manila, according to the foreign ministry here.

During the meeting, the two foreign ministers discussed the Rohingya crisis and emphasised the importance of sustained international support for the
displaced Rohingya population sheltered in Bangladesh.

They also exchanged views on United Nations reform, ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between Bangladesh and Australia, and the
possibility of exchanging high-level visits.

Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir was also present at the meeting.
