Sports to become Class IV subject from next year: Mahdi Amin
Prime Minister’s Adviser on Education and spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office Mahdi Amin said here today that the government is giving the highest priority to sports alongside education and is taking initiatives to make sports an integral part of the education system.
“The government’s goal is to connect students with sports from the grassroots to the national level and make sports an inseparable part of education,” he said.
He made the remarks while speaking as the special guest at the opening ceremony of the 53rd Summer National Sports Competition at Bhasha Shoinik Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium here.

The national competition is an important step towards achieving that goal, and the initiative will continue in the future.
