Maritime ports asked to hoist signal no. 3

Low pressure prompts cautionary signal at four ports.

A low-pressure area has formed over the North Bay
and adjoining West Bengal-Bangladesh coastal region, prompting the maritime
ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra to hoist local cautionary
signal number three as squally weather is likely over the area.

According to a special weather bulletin issued by the Bangladesh
Meteorological Department today, the low-pressure area is likely to intensify
and may cause squally weather over the maritime ports, the North Bay and
adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.

All fishing boats and trawlers operating over the North Bay have been advised
to come close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
