Anee urges vigilance against banned Awami League activities
Water Resources Minister Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee today said there is no scope for Awami League, activities of which are banned, to carry out organizational activities, urging people to remain vigilant against any attempts to engage in such activities.
He made the remarks as the chief guest at an introductory meeting of newly formed union and ward committees of Mahila Dal at Dattapara in Chandraganj upazila.
The minister urged everyone to remain alert about any organizational activities by fugitive leaders and activists, saying the banned organization has no opportunity to conduct political activities.
He said those who fled the country on August 5, 2024, belong to an organization that has been banned over its alleged misdeeds during the past 17 years.
Addressing the opposition, Anee said they should understand that it is not possible for a government to accomplish all its tasks within six months.
He, however, questioned whether the opposition's frequent processions, rallies and road marches were justified.
