Rain, thundershowers likely across Bangladesh in 24 hours.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9 am today, said the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

According to a Met Office bulletin issued this morning, "Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram division; at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Khulna and Barishal divisions." 

Besides, moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may also occur over Chattogram division, it said.

Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged, while night temperature may fall slightly over the country.

The highest temperature on Monday was recorded at 37 degrees Celsius in Netrokona, while the lowest temperature today was 24.5 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat.

In the last 24 hours till 6 am today, the highest rainfall of 20 millimetres was recorded in Dhaka.

The sun sets at 6:02 pm today and rises at 5:45 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
