B-Beauty Tech Expo 2026 Kicks Off in Dhaka to Boost Local Manufacturing and Global Investment
Bangladesh's largest international business-to-business (B2B) exhibition dedicated to the beauty, cosmetics, personal care, wellness and beauty technology sectors, B-Beauty Tech Expo 2026, officially opened in Dhaka on Thursday, aiming to strengthen local manufacturing capacity, facilitate technology transfer and attract foreign investment.
The three-day exhibition, running from July 16 to 18 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), has been organized by WEM Bangladesh Limited and brings together leading local and international manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, investors and industry professionals under one roof.
More than 60 exhibitors representing over 120 local and international brands from Bangladesh, China, India, Pakistan, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates are participating in this year's event. Organizers expect the expo to attract more than 8,000 business visitors, buyers and industry delegates during the three-day exhibition.
The expo aims to connect Bangladesh's rapidly expanding beauty and personal care industry with international-standard manufacturing technologies, innovative products and global investment opportunities.
Organizers said the event serves not only as a trade exhibition but also as an international B2B business matchmaking platform, creating opportunities for strategic partnerships, technology transfer, sourcing, distribution and investment in the country's beauty ecosystem.
According to WEM Bangladesh Limited, Bangladesh's beauty and personal care market is currently valued at an estimated USD 10-12 billion, with industry analysts projecting annual growth of 6 to 9 percent in the coming years.
The sector—including beauty salons, spas, wellness centres, cosmetics retail, manufacturing, packaging, e-commerce, dermatology and aesthetic services—currently provides direct and indirect employment to around 400,000 to 500,000 people.
Industry stakeholders believe that increased investment in local manufacturing, advanced production technologies and skills development could generate an additional 500,000 to 800,000 jobs over the next decade.
Organizers also highlighted Bangladesh's heavy dependence on imported premium cosmetics, skincare products, fragrances, active ingredients, beauty devices, packaging materials and manufacturing technologies, which contributes to significant foreign currency outflows every year.
They said the exhibition is designed to address this challenge by encouraging domestic production, strengthening supply chains, promoting technology transfer and attracting international investors to establish manufacturing facilities in Bangladesh.
Besides showcasing the latest beauty products, ingredients, packaging solutions, salon equipment, aesthetic technologies and wellness innovations, the expo is expected to facilitate networking among manufacturers, importers, exporters, distributors, retailers and policymakers to accelerate the development of Bangladesh's beauty industry.
Industry leaders believe the event will play an important role in positioning Bangladesh as an emerging manufacturing and sourcing destination for the regional beauty and personal care market.
