Malaysian Bubble Tea Brand Tealive Opens Two Outlets in Dhaka

DHAKA, October 12, 2026 — Malaysian bubble tea brand Tealive has opened two outlets in Dhaka’s Banani and Gulshan areas, marking a new step in the expansion of Malaysia-linked consumer brands in Bangladesh.

The outlets at Banani 11 and Gulshan 2 were officially inaugurated on October 8 in the presence of Hazwan Hasnol, Chargé d’Affaires of the Malaysian High Commission in Bangladesh, along with members of the Malaysian and Bangladeshi communities.

The Malaysian High Commission shared photographs of the opening celebrations on its official social media accounts on Monday.

The new outlets will bring Tealive’s bubble tea products to customers in two of Dhaka’s prominent commercial and residential neighbourhoods.

The opening also highlights growing commercial engagement between Malaysia and Bangladesh beyond traditional areas of bilateral cooperation.

Malaysia and Bangladesh maintain economic ties through trade, investment and people-to-people exchanges. The expansion of Malaysian consumer brands into the Bangladeshi market offers another avenue for commercial interaction between the two countries.

However, the company has not disclosed details of its investment in Bangladesh, its local employment plans or any further expansion strategy in the announcement.
