Although Cox's Bazar is best known for its sea beach, this safari park is one of the district's major attractions and is the country's first safari park. It features a unique wildlife environment with hills, forests, water bodies, and hundreds of animals roaming in open natural surroundings.

The park is located in Dulahazara, under Chakaria Upazila. It is approximately 107 kilometers from Chattogram and about 47 kilometers from Cox's Bazar.

The safari park origins date back to the 1980-81 fiscal year, when the Forest Department established a deer breeding center on 42.5 hectares of forest land. Later, an initiative was taken to develop the country's first safari park at the site.
