Virtual education fair on November 20 to offer information on university programmes, scholarships, tuition fees and living costs
Students in Bangladesh interested in pursuing higher education in Japan will have an opportunity to explore academic programmes, scholarship options and study opportunities at an online education fair scheduled for November 20.
Titled EduJapan 2026, the interactive virtual study fair will bring prospective international students into direct contact with representatives of Japanese educational institutions through an online virtual reality (VR) platform.
Supported by the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau, the event aims to provide students with information about study programmes, tuition fees, available scholarships and living expenses in Japan.
Participants will also be able to attend sessions on Japanese culture and communicate directly with representatives of participating institutions through customisable avatars in a virtual venue.
The organisers said the online format would allow students to explore educational opportunities and gather information without travelling to Japan.
The fair will take place on Friday, November 20, from 9:00am to 2:00pm Bangladesh Standard Time through the MetaLife VR Space platform.
The event will be conducted primarily in English.
Registered participants will also receive access to archived recordings of the sessions, allowing them to revisit presentations and information shared during the fair.
The initiative is expected to provide prospective students with a convenient opportunity to learn more about Japan's higher education system and explore potential academic pathways.
