Houthis claim direct hit on Saudi military aircraft over Yemen

Yemen’s Houthi rebels have claimed that they struck a Saudi military aircraft, a Eurofighter Typhoon, with an air-to-air missile over Yemen’s Saada governorate.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said in a brief statement on X that the aircraft had taken off from Saudi Arabia’s Taif airbase and was “at risk of crashing” after being “struck directly”.

Neither Saudi authorities nor independent sources have confirmed the attack so far.
