ISLAMABAD, October 9, 2026 — Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the two sides discussing ways to deepen bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, investment and economic relations.

During the meeting, the two foreign ministers reviewed the state of Pakistan-Bahrain relations and expressed satisfaction over what they described as positive momentum in high-level engagement between the two countries.

They discussed measures to further expand bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on strengthening trade, economic and investment ties.

The ministers also discussed enhancing cooperation and engagement through multilateral forums.

According to Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, the two sides exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest.

They underscored the importance of dialogue and diplomacy as the most viable means of addressing challenges and resolving disputes.

The meeting comes as Pakistan and Bahrain seek to strengthen their bilateral engagement and broaden economic cooperation between the two countries.
