Nepal Opens Virtual Condolence Book After Deadly Flash Floods
DHAKA, September 1, 2026: The Embassy of Nepal in Bangladesh has opened a virtual condolence book following the devastating flash floods that struck the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers in Nepal on August 26, leaving hundreds of people dead and many others injured or missing.
The disaster caused extensive damage to homes, property and vital infrastructure, while search and rescue operations continue in the affected districts of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and Chitwan.
According to the notice, rescue teams are working to locate people who remain missing and provide immediate assistance and support to communities affected by the floods.
The Embassy has invited Bangladeshi citizens, friends of Nepal, individuals and organizations to express their condolences and sympathies through the virtual condolence book.
Interested individuals and organizations can submit their messages through the online form provided by the Embassy.
