DSS orders accurate payrolls for timely Family Card allowances.
The Department of Social Services (DSS) has directed its field-level officials to submit 100 percent accurate payrolls between the 20th and 25th of every month to ensure timely disbursement of allowances under the Family Card programme.
The directive was issued in a letter by the Family Card Programme of the Department of Social Services on Sunday.
According to the letter, allowances under the programme are being disbursed directly to beneficiaries through the Government-to-Person (G2P) system to their mobile financial service (MFS), TakaPay and bank accounts.
The concerned Upazila and City Social Services Officers have been asked to submit error-free payrolls for each monthly installment during the 2026-27 fiscal year to ensure that the allowances reach eligible beneficiaries on time.
Before submitting the payroll within the stipulated period, officials must update and correct necessary information, including beneficiaries' mobile phone and bank account numbers, in the Management Information System (MIS), the letter said.
It also directed that if a beneficiary dies or needs to be replaced for any other reason, the replacement must be made based on a decision of the relevant committee in accordance with existing policies.
The letter urged the concerned authorities to take necessary measures to ensure submission of 100 percent accurate payrolls between the 20th and 25th of every month against beneficiaries' own MFS, TakaPay and bank accounts.
The letter, signed by DSS Director (Social Security) Md Mosharraf Hossain, was sent to the directors of the divisional social services offices in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet, Rangpur, Barishal and Mymensingh.
