India, Bangladesh discuss air connectivity, cargo and tourism cooperation
DHAKA, September 16, 2026: Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi met Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat on Wednesday, with discussions focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in aviation and tourism.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of issues, including improving air connectivity between Bangladesh and India, expanding air cargo capacity and strengthening bilateral working mechanisms, according to a post by the Indian High Commission on Facebook.
They also discussed ways to promote tourism between the two neighbouring countries.
The meeting comes as Bangladesh and India continue to explore avenues for expanding people-to-people connectivity and economic cooperation, with air links playing an important role in facilitating business, travel and tourism.
The discussions also covered enhancing cooperation in the civil aviation sector, including measures aimed at improving connectivity and cargo movement between the two countries.
