Revised Visa Undertaking Form aims to make applications easier, reduce dependence on agents

The Indian High Commission in Dhaka has simplified its Visa Undertaking Form to make the visa application process easier and more convenient for applicants in Bangladesh.

The revised form, uploaded to the India Visa Application Centre (IVAC) website approximately three weeks ago, is designed to help applicants understand and complete the required documentation more easily, reducing their reliance on agents for assistance.

According to the High Commission, the simplified format also introduces a standardised approach to documentation across all visa categories, ensuring greater uniformity in submissions.

The initiative is part of India's ongoing efforts to streamline visa-related procedures and make the application process more applicant-friendly.

The High Commission has clarified that the revision is limited to simplifying documentation and does not introduce any new visa eligibility criteria.

The move is expected to make the documentation process less complicated for Bangladeshi applicants, particularly those who previously relied on intermediaries to complete visa-related paperwork.

India remains a major destination for Bangladeshi travellers for medical treatment, education, business and tourism. Simplifying visa documentation could help applicants navigate the procedural requirements more independently.

The revised Visa Undertaking Form is available on the IVAC website.
