Eid-e-Miladunnabi to be observed nationwide on August 26.

The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (SM) will be observed
across the country on August 26.

The government has adopted extensive national-level programmes to mark the
day, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam as per the
Hijri Calendar, with due religious solemnity, fervor, and enthusiasm.

The programs were finalized at an inter-ministerial meeting on August 13 with
Religious Affairs Secretary Munshi Alauddin Al Azad in the chair.

Director General (DG) of Islamic Foundation Mufti Muhammad Muhibbullahil
Baqi, Additional Secretary (Hajj) Dr. Ayatul Islam, Additional Secretary
(Administration) Md. Imtiaz Hossain, and representatives from various
ministries, departments, and agencies attended the meeting.

The President and the Prime Minister will issue separate messages to mark the
day.

National flags will be hoisted at all government, semi-government, autonomous
institutions, private establishments, and armed forces installations on the
day.

Important traffic islands, light posts, and major city points will be
decorated with national and colorful flags, along with banners inscribed with
the Kalima Tayyiba.

Special prayers will be offered at mosques across the country, including the
Bangladesh Secretariat Mosque.

Divisional, district, and upazila administrations, city corporations,
municipalities, and the armed forces will organise discussions and prayer
sessions in their respective jurisdictions.

The Islamic Foundation will arrange waz mahfils, seminars, and talk shows,
alongside competitions in qirat, hamd-naat, recitation of self-composed
poems, and Arabic sermon writing.

A month-long Islamic book fair will be held at the south plaza of Baitul
Mukarram National Mosque.

Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar, and other electronic media have been
requested to broadcast special programmes while newspapers will publish
commemorative supplements.

All the relevant organisations will organise discussions, prayer sessions,
hamd-naat, poetry recitations, cultural and quiz competitions focusing on the
life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and on Islam's message of
peace, progress, fraternity, tolerance, human rights, and women's dignity.

Bangladesh Shishu Academy will arrange special programs for children,
including hamd-naat, discussions, and essay competitions.

Improved diets will be served at all military and civil hospitals, prisons,
government orphanages, child development centers, and old-age homes.

Bangladesh missions abroad will also observe the day with due respect.
Relevant ministries and departments have been instructed to take special
measures to maintain peace and law-and-order during the observance.
