Nepal envoy meets opposition leader Shafiqur Rahman

Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanashyam Bhandari met Leader of the Opposition in Bangladesh’s National Parliament Shafiqur Rahman yesterday afternoon and discussed various aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, Shafiqur Rahman expressed condolences over the loss of lives and property caused by the devastating flash floods that struck Nepal on August 26, 2026.

The two sides also discussed ways to further strengthen Nepal-Bangladesh relations, including cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.

The meeting comes as Nepal continues to deal with the aftermath of the devastating flash floods, which caused significant loss of life and property in several areas.
