Pakistan Lifestyle Exhibition will organise textile and fashion shows in Dhaka, Sylhet and Chattogram in November, featuring 150 Pakistani exhibitors and B2B business opportunities.

DHAKA, October 11: Pakistan Lifestyle Exhibition, an event management company, will organise three exhibitions in Bangladesh in November to showcase Pakistani textiles, fashion, bridal collections and food products while exploring business opportunities and strengthening bilateral economic ties.

The fifth edition of the exhibition will take place at Gulshan Shooting Club in Dhaka from November 4 to 8, followed by the sixth edition at Amanullah Convention Center in Sylhet from November 11 to 15. The seventh edition will be held at Khulshi Convention Center in Chattogram from November 18 to 22.

Shagufta Bakht, owner and chief executive officer of Pakistan Lifestyle Exhibition, told The Shuttle Times that around 150 Pakistani exhibitors are expected to participate in the events, offering Bangladeshi consumers and businesses direct access to a range of Pakistani products.

The exhibitions will feature Pakistani textile fabrics, fashion designers, bridal and wedding collections, authentic Pakistani cuisine and cultural activities, she said.

Co-Founder & Operational Manager Khalid Hussain said that a significant number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are expected to participate, allowing businesses to promote and sell their products directly to consumers while exploring opportunities to expand their presence in the Bangladeshi market.

Product categories will include women's clothing, Punjabi outfits and children's wear, as well as Pakistani lawn fabrics and other fashion products. Home textile items, including bedsheets, towels and linens, will also be on display, he said.

Khalid Hussain said, Pakistani food products, handicrafts and decorative items will be showcased, with the latter categories offering potential opportunities in the gifting and wedding markets.

He said the exhibitions would also facilitate business-to-business (B2B) meetings and help companies from both countries identify potential partners, establish commercial links and explore new markets.

Plans to showcase Bangladeshi products in Pakistan

Alongside promoting Pakistani products in Bangladesh, owner Shagufta Bakht said she was working to organise an exhibition of Bangladeshi products in Karachi.

She said five Bangladeshi companies had already offered to partner in the proposed event, which could create another platform for businesses from the two countries to explore cross-border trade.

According to Bakht, Pakistani businesses have shown interest in Bangladeshi products, particularly traditional handloom and Jamdani sarees, lungis and leather goods.

She expressed optimism that closer engagement between businesses could create investment and trade opportunities for both countries.

“Pakistani people want to build business relationships with Bangladesh based on brotherhood,” she said, emphasising the importance of sincere business engagement in developing commercial ties.

The planned exhibitions come as businesses from both countries seek opportunities to connect with consumers, expand product markets and develop commercial partnerships. Their impact will depend on the extent to which the events translate consumer interest and business contacts into sustained trade and investment.
