President expresses sorrow over freedom fighter Abdul Hai’s death
President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has
expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of veteran politician
freedom fighter Abdul Hai.
In a condolence message today, the President said valiant freedom fighter
Abdul Hai was a veteran and experienced politician.
He said Abdul Hai's contributions to the welfare of the country and its
people, the struggle for the establishing of democracy, and the socio-
economic development of Munshiganj would be remembered with deep respect.
The President prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul of Abdul Hai
and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members,
colleagues, and well-wishers.
Mentionable, Abdul Hai served as former deputy minister and adviser to former
Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
