Internet service provider strengthens nationwide presence, with five more upazilas set to come under its network by November

DHAKA, November 5, 2026: Internet service provider Amber IT Limited has expanded its broadband network to 400 upazilas across Bangladesh, marking a major milestone in its nationwide expansion drive as it targets coverage in 500 upazilas by June 2027.

The company achieved the milestone by extending its network to Kaptai Upazila in Rangamati district. Golapganj in Sylhet was its 399th upazila.

Amber IT currently operates its own network infrastructure across all 64 districts, with a focus on extending reliable broadband connectivity beyond major cities and district headquarters to underserved and remote areas.

As part of its next phase of expansion, the company plans to bring five more upazilas — Mirsarai, Naria, Mirpur, Mirzapur and Bhulli — under its network by the end of November.

Alongside geographical expansion, the company is also working to strengthen network capacity and improve customer service coverage in existing and newly connected areas.

"Our goal is to make reliable broadband internet accessible to people in every part of the country. We have now expanded our network to 400 upazilas, and we plan to reach 500 by June next year," said Mohammad Aminul Hakim, chief executive officer of Amber IT Limited.

"We want people everywhere, whether in cities or remote areas, to have equal access to modern internet services," he added.

The company's expansion milestones include Saidpur in Rangpur Division as its 100th upazila, Haluaghat in Mymensingh as its 200th and Char Fasson in Bhola district under Barishal Division as its 300th.

The latest expansion comes amid growing demand for broadband connectivity outside metropolitan areas, where reliable internet access is increasingly important for businesses, education, digital services and economic activities.

Amber IT's target of reaching 500 upazilas by June 2027 reflects its ambition to deepen its nationwide footprint and tap into the growing demand for high-speed internet across Bangladesh.
