BOESL to send 112 skilled workers to Malaysia free of cost
Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL) has published a recruitment notice to send 112 skilled workers to Malaysia without any recruitment fees.
Malaysian multinational company DHL Supply Chain (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. will recruit the workers for two positions: Operations Assistant and Technical Skill Worker.
According to the BOESL notice, the basic monthly salary for both positions is Tk 52,000.
For the Operations Assistant position, applicants must have at least an SSC or equivalent qualification, although candidates with vocational or higher degrees will receive preference.
They must be proficient in reading, writing and communicating in English, have basic computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, and possess numerical abilities.
Candidates should also be capable of supervising work, making decisions, setting priorities and working effectively in a multinational environment. One to two years of relevant work experience and physical fitness suitable for warehouse operations are required. Experience in operating forklifts, power pallet trucks and reach trucks will be considered an additional qualification.
For the Technical Skill Worker position, applicants must have at least an HSC or equivalent qualification. Candidates with vocational, polytechnic or graduate degrees and relevant electrical experience will receive preference.
Applicants must have a good understanding of warehouse networking, cabling, racking and IT equipment. Computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, English communication skills and the ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are also required.
Candidates for both positions must be aged between 22 and 35 years. Working hours will be eight hours a day, six days a week.
The initial employment contract will be for three years and will not be renewable. Overtime opportunities will be available in accordance with company requirements and Malaysian labour laws.
The employer will provide accommodation, primary medical care and transportation.
Applicants must have passports valid for at least 18 to 24 months. Candidates with valid driving licences and relevant work experience at home or abroad will receive preference.
Interested candidates can apply through the designated BOESL online portal between 10am on November 6 and 4pm on November 8. Each applicant can apply for only one position.
According to the notice, an initial shortlist of 300 candidates will be prepared through a software-based lottery. The list will be published on the BOESL website.
Representatives of the recruiting company will subsequently conduct technical and oral tests to select 124 candidates, including reserve candidates.
Shortlisted candidates must bring four copies of colour passport-sized photographs with white backgrounds, colour photocopies of their passports, original educational and experience certificates, national identity cards and updated CVs to the interview.
The CVs must highlight computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, numerical abilities, driving licence details and previous warehouse or overseas work experience.
BOESL said applying online, attending interviews or being shortlisted would not guarantee employment, as the final recruitment decision rests solely with the employer.
It also said selected workers would not have to pay any fees at any stage of the recruitment process, warning candidates against making financial transactions with any individual or organisation in connection with the recruitment.
