Switzerland is supporting Bangladesh’s Rights Hackathon 2026, bringing young people and experts together in Dhaka to develop practical solutions to human rights challenges.

DHAKA, October 15: The Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh is supporting the Rights Hackathon 2026, an initiative aimed at developing practical solutions to human rights challenges through youth engagement and expert collaboration.

Titled “Shared Futures: Rights, Dignity and Coexistence in Bangladesh,” the hackathon is being organised by Sapran, a rights-focused initiative, with support from the Swiss Embassy.

The programme will bring together teams of young people and experts in Dhaka to work on specific human rights issues and develop practical solutions, according to the embassy.

The initiative seeks to encourage young people to engage with questions of rights, dignity and coexistence while exploring ways to address challenges affecting communities in Bangladesh.

The embassy said applications for the hackathon were still open, inviting interested young people to apply.

The initiative highlights the role of youth participation and collaborative problem-solving in promoting human rights and fostering a more inclusive society.
