Bangladesh and Nepal have discussed ways to strengthen air connectivity, expand tourist exchanges and deepen cooperation in civil aviation and tourism.

Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanashyam Bhandari met Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat in Dhaka on Wednesday, according to a statement shared by the Nepalese envoy.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed ongoing efforts to improve connectivity and promote tourism between the neighbouring countries.

They also discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in civil aviation, tourism and people-to-people contacts.

Improved air connectivity and increased tourist exchanges could help deepen economic and cultural ties between Bangladesh and Nepal, which share longstanding regional and people-to-people links.

However, the statement did not provide details of any new aviation agreements, additional flight services or specific tourism initiatives discussed at the meeting.
