India’s Tarang Shakti-26 multinational air exercise concluded on October 12, with aerial assets from eight countries, including Bangladesh, and 32 observer nations.

NEW DELHI, October 12, 2026 — The second edition of India’s multinational air exercise Tarang Shakti-26 concluded on Monday, with aerial assets from eight countries, including Bangladesh, participating in the exercise, according to an announcement by the Indian side.

The exercise brought together air forces from participating countries to strengthen operational coordination, professional exchanges and international defence cooperation. Another 32 countries attended as observers.

The Indian side described the exercise as a demonstration of operational synergy, professional excellence and international partnerships.

Bangladesh’s participation places it among the countries involved in the multinational military engagement, providing an opportunity for interaction with air forces from other participating nations.

Multinational air exercises can provide participating forces with opportunities to exchange operational experience, improve coordination and develop professional relationships. Observer participation also allows countries to gain insights into the exercise without deploying aerial assets.

The conclusion of Tarang Shakti-26 highlights India’s continued efforts to use multinational military exercises as a platform for defence engagement and cooperation with international partners.

Further details on Bangladesh’s specific role, the aircraft deployed and the operational outcomes of the exercise were not provided in the announcement.
