Bangladesh minister expresses condolences over Norway's king's death.
Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Minister Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan today signed the condolence book opened at the Norwegian Embassy in Dhaka following the death of King Harald V of Norway.
Norwegian Ambassador to Bangladesh Håkon Arald Gulbrandsen also was present during this time. The embassy in Dhaka opened the condolence book to allow people to pay their respects following his death.
Signing the condolence book, Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan expressed profound shock and conveyed sincere sympathy to the Norwegian royal family, the government and people on behalf of the Bangladesh government and its people.
King Harald V of Norway, Europe’s oldest monarch, has died on August 28 at the age of 89, after 35 years on the throne.
He left behind his wife of 57 years, Queen Sonja, two children, and five grandchildren.
