President urges skilled manpower exports to Saudi Arabia
President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today urged the Bangladeshi manpower exporters to give importance on sending skilled and well-educated manpower to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
He urged the manpower exporters to utilize the vast opportunities and potentials in Saudi Arabia in the health, education and infrastructure sectors.
The President made the call as a seven-member delegation of the Saudi Arabia-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its President Ashraful Haq Chowdhury paid a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban this afternoon.
President’s Press Secretary Md. Sarwar Alam said the delegation apprised the President of the effective participation of Bangladeshi businessmen and entrepreneurs in the huge development activities of Saudi Arabia.
They also highlighted extensive economic activities, infrastructure construction and high demand for skilled manpower in Saudi Arabia around Vision 2030, World Expo and the FIFA World Cup 2034.
The President advised the delegation to utilize these immense opportunities and prospects and assured them of full cooperation.
The delegation members informed the President that the organization is working in five major cities of Saudi Arabia by engaging skilled manpower educated in technical and technological fields to promote Bangladeshi products, services and potential sectors, highlighting country’s positive image and establish “Branding Bangladesh.”
The delegation also invited the President to the inaugural ceremony of an upcoming international seminar to be held in Dhaka with prominent investors, entrepreneurs and businessmen from Saudi Arabia. The president assured them tobe present at the event.
Vice-President of the organization Sheikh Nasir Uddin and Directors Priti Chakraborty, Mohammad Jannatul Ferdous, A B M Siddiqe, Mohammed Sazzad Un Newaz, Zahiruddin Mahmudand, Mohammad Shamsul Alam Liton were present.
The President’s Military Secretary and Secretary were present during the meeting.
