China, Bangladesh Discuss Expanding Economic Cooperation Following Prime Minister's China Visit

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Yao Wen, met with Bangladesh's Finance and Planning Minister, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, on Thursday to discuss strengthening bilateral economic and trade cooperation and advancing the implementation of outcomes from Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's recent official visit to China.

During the meeting, the two sides highly commended the successful visit of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to China, describing it as an important milestone in further enhancing the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Ambassador Yao and Minister Amir Khosru held in-depth discussions on translating the understandings reached during the Prime Minister's visit into concrete actions. Their talks focused on accelerating practical cooperation in key areas, including trade, investment, infrastructure development, industrial collaboration, and economic connectivity.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening economic ties and expanding mutually beneficial partnerships, emphasizing the importance of maintaining close coordination to ensure the timely implementation of bilateral initiatives.
