Kaspersky Expands Asian Partnerships to Strengthen Digital Security

Kaspersky and Best Telecom have expanded their strategic cooperation in Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) through two agreements signed during Kaspersky founder and CEO Eugene Kaspersky’s visit to Laos. The agreements aim to strengthen digital security across the country’s telecommunications and financial-services sectors, making trusted cybersecurity protection more accessible to consumers.

Under the agreement with Best Telecom, eligible customers can access Kaspersky’s consumer cybersecurity solutions, including Kaspersky Standard, Kaspersky Premium and Kaspersky Safe Kids, through a bundled service model. The partnership enables Best Telecom to expand its value-added services beyond connectivity by integrating digital protection into customers’ everyday telecommunications experience.

Separately, Kaspersky and Sysmatik, an affiliated business of Best Telecom and one of Laos’ leading IT firms, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) focused on rolling out Kaspersky Mobile Security SDK for Android and iOS. The technology provides malware and phishing protection, helping strengthen mobile security and digital trust across financial-services digital ecosystems.

As digital adoption accelerates, consumers increasingly rely on mobile devices, telecommunications and digital banking platforms, highlighting the importance of accessible protection against malware, phishing and online fraud. The expanded cooperation aims to integrate cybersecurity into these services, supporting safer digital experiences and greater confidence in digital financial services.

Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky, said: “Digital transformation creates tremendous opportunities for both individuals and businesses alike, but it also makes cybersecurity an increasingly important part of everyday digital life. We’re really pleased to be expanding our cooperation with AIF Group and bringing our cybersecurity expertise to two important areas of Laos’ digital economy – telecommunications and financial services. Through our cooperation with Best Telecom and BIC Bank, we aim to make digital protection more accessible and to increase trust in the digital services that individuals and businesses rely on. We look forward to continuing our cooperation with AIF Group as Laos advances its digital transformation.”

Dr. Rithikone Phoummasack, CEO of Best Telecom, said: “Cybersecurity is a fundamental enabler of Laos’ continuing digital transformation. By working with Kaspersky across our telecommunications and financial-services businesses, we can make trusted cybersecurity capabilities more accessible through services that consumers already rely on. We believe these initiatives can help strengthen digital trust while supporting the development of a safer and more secure digital economy in Laos.”
